PLANT BREEDING & GENETICS - A NUTSHELL deals with the usefulness of science of Plant Breeding and Genetics for the benefits of JRF & NET Aspirants. This book “PLANT BREEDING & GENETICS - A NUTSHELL” owes its origin to the Plant breeding and Genetics course material used for the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture degree programme in the ICAR Fifth Deans Committee syllabus. The compilation of this book is an endeavor to treat the subject of Plant Breeding and Genetics dealing with nutshell.

The necessity for consolidating objective type questions on Plant Breeding and Genetics was felt since long to cater the needs of students appearing for various competitive examinations like Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Eligibility Test (NET), State and Central Agricultural Officer Examinations, Civil Service Examinations, Central Silk Board Examinations, ICAR National Testing Agency (NTA) Examinations.
